A Quicker Fix

Whether it's a fender-bender or more serious collision that does the damage, you learn first-hand how much you rely on your auto when it's out of commission. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, getting back on the road after an accident is likely to be one of your top priorities. A new option from many car insurance companies can help you do just that.

Direct Repair Programs offer policyholders fast claims and repair service after an accident. In fact, when you choose a Direct Repair Program, you don't have to get damage estimates or schedule an appointment with an adjuster. All you do after an accident is call your Agent or claims office, choose a pre-approved repair shop and take your car directly there.

Peters Body Shop has been pre-approved for Direct Repair by most of the major insurance companies.  Chosing Peters Body Shop with the Direct Repair option saves you time and you still get the high level of service you expect. Direct repair holds the potential to reduce the time from accident to repair by three or four days.  That gets you back on the road faster.

Here's how direct repair works:

After being involved in an accident, call your insurance agent or local claims office.

Choose Peters Body Shop on the direct repair list, and your claim will be sent electronically to our shop. We then send an estimate back to the claims office and, with your approval, we begin repairs -- sometimes even the same day.

When your vehicle is repaired, you pay any applicable deductibles from your auto policy directly to our shop, the remainder of the bill is sent to your insurance provider for payment. That's it; you're done.

Insurance companies carefully select repair shops based on their quality of work, timeliness of service and previous experience with claims offices.  A shop's size and whether it can do most of the repairs in-house also figure in to the equation. In addition, all direct repair shops warranty repairs for a minimum of one year, some for as many as five years.

Some situations-such as when a car is totalled or when it has been stolen and then recovered-do not qualify for the Direct Repair Program. Most other cases do. Whether you choose a Direct Repair option or traditional claims process, your repair will be handled with the same high level of care and service.
